Well, God is so good. The month of August has been a Victory month for me. Seeing my dad receive
Christ as Lord, and having the privilege of baptizing him. Seeing so many come to know Christ, what a Victory
month for New Zion Baptist Church.
We had 393 in Bible Study on August 15th. Hallelujah, 393 people being transformed by the study of
God’s Word. Thank you for your faithfulness in attendance, giving, praying and sharing. God is sure blessing
our faithfulness.
Let’s all remember September 12th, it will be a great day. We are privileged to have Dr. David Fleming
in our church. He is a former Pastor of New Zion and is now Pastor of Champion Forest Baptist Church in
Houston, TX. God has used him to build a great church (14,000) members. It will be a great time to invite the
inactive members, unsaved people and those who are out of church. We are having high attendance in Sunday
School. We do this as a catalyst to get people here who ordinarily wouldn’t hear the Gospel, and to rejuvenate
our own members. Pray, invite and be faithful, we can all do these things. Watch God bless as we do
our best for Him.
We will be emphasizing stewardship during the month of September. Stewardship of our time, our
lives, our possessions and our talents; and September 26th will be, “Prove The Tithe” Day. I challenge every
member to prove that God keeps His promises to us. If we will begin with His tithe (10%) and grow from
there, because everything we have is from Him; there is no telling what God will do.
I am excited. God is so good. He will do what He says, may we prove that by our obedience.
